Following his last acting role as Ted Bundy in Netflix's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Zac Efron has now taken on a very different kind of project for the streaming giant. The Hollywood actor is fronting a new travel docuseries that "explores healthy, sustainable ways to live".
Down To Earth, which premieres on Netflix July 10, will see Zac and wellness expert Darin Olien travel to the likes of France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia, and Iquito to learn more about sustainable living.
"We're travelling around the world to find some new perspectives on some very old problems," Zac said. "Food, water and energy are all the main staples for modern life. We're going to see some top eco innovators to see how change is an inside job. And we're going to be eating really, really well.
"We need to start rethinking how we consume everything, from our food to our power. Change has to start somewhere. Maybe it's about time we all changed. It's time to get down to earth."
Down To Earth isn't the only reality series Zac will be starring in this year as he's also been busy producing and fronting a documentary series titled Killing Zac Efron for streaming service Quibi.
The show follows the High School Musical star as he goes "deep into the jungle of a remote, dangerous island, falling off the grid for 21 days".
Down To Earth will be available to watch on Netflix from 10 July.
