If you've been through a break-up, you could stay in a perfect Cotswold cottage, just like The Holiday
Home rental service, Independent Cottages, is offering one lucky person the chance to stay overnight in a Cotswolds cottage inspired by the house from The Holiday.
But, to live like Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet in the Christmas film, you'll have to have one thing in common with their characters — you'll need to have recently gone through a break-up in order to enter.
Inspired by Iris (Kate Winslet's character) from the much-loved Christmas movie, the competition wants to help those who have recently suffered heartbreak and offer them a peaceful festive break in a beautiful, honey-coloured, Cotswold cottage.
On their website, the competition entry explains: "This Christmas, we are getting into the festive spirit and giving away an English cottage stay inspired by The Holiday to one lucky winner.
"And in keeping with The Holiday theme, this competition is only open to entries from people who have had their heart broken this year."
As well as a three-night stay in the property, winners will also receive a bottle of fizz and a box of chocolates on arrival. While Jude Law might not be making an appearance at the cottage, it's still the perfect way to heal a broken heart.
Known as Farthing Cottage, it's an exceptionally pretty cottage with a roaring log burner, original stone flooring, red brick walls, cosy furnishings and idyllic countryside views.
Just a stone's throw from the lovely village of Stow-on-the-Wold, the winner will have the chance to explore the cobbled streets, locally-run shops and immerse themselves in country life.
