Xtina's plunging Cannes gown is a total Medusa vibe

The Cannes Film Festival has graced us with some seriously fire celeb looks of late: from Anne Hathaway's show-stopping Gucci moment to EmRata's noughties throwback style and racy red carpet gown. And it looks like the momentum isn't going to let up any time soon, at least if Xtina's vampy gala gown is anything to go by.

Stepping out for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Cannes Gala at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes last night (26 May) the iconique 41-year-old singer rocked a look that was giving some major Maleficent vibes on the red carpet, at the event where other VIPs like Naomi Campbell and Eva Longoria were in attendance.

The form-fitting, plunging velvet gown boasted a sweetheart neckline and powerful shoulders for a striking silhouette and also rocked a sweeping train to up the drama (that's one way to make an entrance!). The all-black dress was giving evil villain in the best way: we all know that female anti-heroes like Cat Woman and Maleficent get the best lines, and outfits!

What really made the look? Rhinestone detailing along the collar and some seriously Medusa-esque rhinestone snakes wrapping around Xtina's wrists for a show-stopping impact. Topping off the outfit, she rocked her white blonde hair in an old Hollywood updo, larger-than-life lashes, opulent Chopard earrings and long, metallic nails.

Seriously, give this woman a prize: every detail has been thought of!
