Woman Secretly Recorded Video Of Reactions To Her Revealing Short Shorts

If you’re a female, chances are pretty good that you’ve been leered at or catcalled by men on the street — more often than not, no matter what you’re wearing. So, what would happen if you left the house in a pair of short, tight shorts intending to attract the unwanted attention? Well, 24-year-old Kaysheen Whiteley decided it was time to give it a try.

Whiteley walked around London’s Hyde Park while wearing a pair of short-shorts and captured all the reactions she received on a hidden camera. The video was filmed for the YouTube channel Immature Life as a social experiment called “Big Booty Bait in Public Prank.”

While the reactions varied from gasps and stares to secret picture taking, the funniest had to be when a man was slapped by his girlfriend being caught staring. The most scary, on the other hand, was another man who openly rubbed his crotch as the woman walked by.

Shocking, right? Well, this isn’t the first hidden camera to expose what it’s like for women to simply walk down the street. In a video created to expose how often women experience sexual harassment in New York City, one woman walked through the city for 10 hours with a hidden GoPro recording the trip.

More than 100 instances of verbal street harassment recorded, and people were stunned at how aggressive some men can be. In an effort to spark change, the creator of the video even ended the video with a statement asking for viewers to donate to Hollaback!, a nonprofit dedicated to ending street harassment.

While Immature Life’s video was primarily meant for entertainment purposes, it brings up a deeper societal issue. Hopefully catcallers will see the film as less of a prank and more of an example of a bad societal norm that needs to come to a swift and complete end.
