How Didn't We Realise It Was THIS Easy To Make A Homemade McDonald's McFlurry?

·1-min read

Anyone else really, really, REALLY craving ice cream at the minute? With the weather reaching unthinkable temperatures this past week (I mean, did you see the temp in London?), we can't help but want to eat as much ice cream as poss to help keep us cool. But if there's one type of ice cream we always find ourselves craving again and again, it's a McDonald's McFlurry.

Sure — a trip to our local Macca's is one way of satisfying that craving. But have you ever thought about making the treat yourself?

We’ve been making McDonald’s Big Macs, apple pies and McMuffins in our own kitchens for as long as we can remember. Hey — we've even given homemade KFC and slow cooker KFC a go, but we're yet to delve into the making of a signature McFlurry.

And luckily for us, a certain someone over on TikTok has revealed the recipe.

@mimihome_ has shared a tutorial for making the frozen treat in the comfort of our own homes, and it couldn't be easier requiring just four ingredients.

Homemade McDonald’s McFlurry ingredients:

  • 360ml double cream

  • 1 x tin condensed milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Chocolate of choice

As simple as mixing your double cream, condensed milk and vanilla extract, blending with a hand mixer, and then finishing with chopped up chocolate pieces, before placing in the freezer, we can almost guarantee that you'll be making this on the reg.

Of course, you can literally mix anything into your ice cream. Crushed up Flakes, M&Ms, Maltesers — let your imagination run wild!
