Woman filmed shouting at mother and son on Delta Airlines flight has lost her job

A young mum who posted a viral video of a fellow air passenger shouting at her and her son has said she feels bad after the woman was reportedly suspended from her job.

Marissa Rundell posted a video of Susan Peirez shouting at her and her eight-month-old son on a Delta Airlines flight that took the internet by storm.

The altercation led to Peirez being escorted from the plane at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

She has reportedly also been suspended from her $95,000-a-year job with the New York State Council on the Arts, prompting 19-year-old Rundell to voice her regret at how things had panned out.

“I kind of feel bad for this lady,” she told Inc. “I don’t know her story, she doesn’t know mine. It might have been a misunderstanding.”

She said she initially intended to share the video with family members, then it “started going crazy”.

“This was a one-time thing and it happened,” she said. “…I totally was caught off guard with everyone who has been watching it. I didn’t even realize that many people could see what I was posting.”
