Sure, it’s fantastic having adult bridesmaids and a best man at a wedding, but the kids always steal the show.
There’s nothing quite like seeing little relatives dressed up to the nines in perfect miniature wedding getups as flower girls and page boys.
Which we can only assume Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be at Meghan Markle and Price Harry’s wedding in under a month now.
According to abc, the pair are indeed expected to take on the roles of page boy and flower girl at the event at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on 19 May.
After all, they stood beside Pippa Middleton at her wedding to financier James Matthews last year, so they do have some work experience under their belts.
While Charlotte was a bridesmaid on that occasion, George was a page boy.
Marlene Koenig, a British and European royalty expert, also told Bazaar that she would be “shocked” if Prince George and Princess Charlotte weren’t seen walking down the aisle in May.
“George and Charlotte are Harry’s only niece and nephew, so it would be a real shocker if they were not included,” she said.
Either way, let’s hope that the pair behave themselves after George’s escapades at Pippa’s wedding last May.
In a moment that’ll be very relatable for all parents, Kate had to have a stern word with Prince George outside of the church (it’s believed he might have stepped on Pippa’s £40,000 Giles Deacon gown).
Although we’re rooting for Kate to have a calmer day than last time, it would be quite cute if they got up to mischief again.
