When Victoria Beckham, 44, announced last month that she is launching a beauty You-Tube channel with her hair stylist, Ken Paves, and makeup artist, Wendy Rowe, it caused quite a stir among beauty addicts across the globe. Wetting the appetites of beauty fans (including the Telegraph beauty team) the trio have been leaking 'coming soon' teasers on their Instagram feeds, suggesting they are secretly working on lots of insightful beauty content for Beckham’s soon to be released channel that is set to launch any day now.

With 39,000 subscribers currently signed up, Beckham has already shared a few easy-to-understand 'how- to' videos such as 'Victoria Beckham's Take on Pink' and 'Red Carpet Ready Eyes', both of which are aimed at women her own age - a relatively untapped market considering the majority of beauty tutorials on YouTube are aimed at Millennials and Generation Z.

The star announced her news in an Instagram clip with Fashion and Beauty Director, Derek Blasberg. She explained, "the platform will be full of styling tutorials and lots of stuff from me.” Beckham continues, “this is a new chapter for me right now. I'm so happy that I can put my foot on the gas and do everything that I’ve wanted to do for a long, long time".

It's noticeable of late that the fashion designer has been upping her interest in beauty through insider-beauty-posts about her regime and favourite skincare and make-up brands. In fact, take a look at VB's Instagram account, and it's clear to see her passion for beauty as she has now a completely designated beauty story area on her account entitled "VB Beauty" that she updates regularly.

Posting insights into her daily beauty regime, including the products she personally uses, Beckham has revealed her love for niche luxury brands such as Augustinus Bader , Dr Barbara Sturm  and Codage, which has resulted in the cult products completely selling out.

So what is it that makes VB so relatable? Whilst many celebrities like to think of themselves as 'beauty influencers,’ they rarely provide valuable, take-away information. More than just the odd  product plug, Victoria packs her posts with scientific knowledge, key ingredient benefits and gives real-life-beauty tips that women of all ages can relate to.

The edit of products she shares with her fans is perfect for women over 40 that want to age smartly without resorting to the hands of a surgeon. Arguably, through her posts, Beckham gives her followers an insight into the tips and tricks she’s gleaned from some of the world's most renowned dermatologists, doctors and beauty experts - without having to fork out the hefty price tag.

Mum of four, wife, fashion designer, fitness enthusiast and soon to be beauty You-Tuber, it's no surprise that VB is quickly becoming one of the world's most-valued beauty know-it-alls. Here’s our selection of the top five beauty buys VB covets, as revealed on her Instagram site.
