Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively might be like Hollywood royalty, but you could see them in your local Greggs sometime soon.

According to new reports, the actor, 43, is trying to buy Wrexham Football Club, a Welsh team playing in the National League, the fifth tier of the British football league system.

On Wednesday, The Wrexham Supporters Trust Board shared the names of the two bidders interested in investing in the football team - one of which was Rya Reynolds.

The statement reads (via The Independent), "Talks with the proposed bidders will now continue and we are in a position to confirm the two people interested in investing in Wrexham AFC.

"In due course, Mr McElhenney and Mr Reynolds will put forward their vision for Wrexham AFC and proposal for members to vote on at a second Special General Meeting."

As well as the Deadpool actor, the second bidder is Rob McElhenney, the creator of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Following the initial vote, the actors will share their proposals, before a second vote takes place, with members of Wrexham's board either accepting or rejecting the offer.

Ahead of the first meeting, a spokesperson told The Leader: "The investors are looking to purchase the entire shared capital of Wrexham AFC Limited. [They plan to] immediately invest £2m into the club for the purposes of taking it forward as a business and as a successful football team."

Ryan, who shared three daughters with his wife Blake - James, Ines and Betty - also hinted at a move to the UK on Twitter. Replying to a fan tweet which read, "You never know when Ryan Reynolds is going to turn up in Wrexham ;)"

Ryan wrote, "Yep, you never know."
