Why Prince Harry Wasn't At Meghan Markle's Baby Shower
Prince Harry spent the day visiting with school children in London to support the StreetGames 'Fit and Fed' initiative, which seeks to provide healthy food and free physical activities to kids during school holidays.
The cause is close to Harry's heart-he's attended five engagements with StreetGames in four years.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex is celebrating her baby shower in New York City today. The couple's first child is due this spring.
The Duke of Sussex spent today (February 19) at Streatham Youth Center in South London, playing with school children and feeding them nutritious meals to support the StreetGames 'Fit and Fed' initiative. According to Kensington Palace, the campaign seeks to give 'children and young people free access to activity sessions and a nutritious lunch during school holidays.'

Harry looked thrilled to be spending time with the children at John Corfield Center, where he watched them jump around on a trampoline and learn jiu-jitsu moves. He then joined the team of volunteers and staff to serve a healthy lunch to the kids. According to Kensington Palace's Instagram, '73 percent of the poorest families in the U.K. cannot always afford to feed their children during the school holidays-which is estimated to affect 3 million children.'

The Fit and Fed campaign started in 2017 and is supported by StreetGames, one of the many charities Harry lends his platform to. His affinity for the cause is not new–according to royal reporter Omid Scobie, the duke has attended five StreetGames engagements in four years, including two Fit and Fed sessions in 2017 (Newham, England) and 2018 (Brent, England).

Last year alone, this British-wide campaign 'delivered sessions at 321 sites, supporting 15,511 children and young people, and served up a total of 146,260 meals and snacks,' per the Palace.
While Harry is hard at work in London, the Duchess of Sussex is taking a much-needed break across the pond. Meghan made a trip to New York City for her baby shower (taking place today!) and is catching up with her best friends, shopping, and resting before she gives birth to her first child in a few months.
