Why people think Margot Robbie is going to star in Sex Education s3

If you're anything like us, you're probably already head over heels excited about Sex Education season 3. So wait until you hear the latest rumour fans are spreading: that actual Academy Award nominee Margot Robbie is going to star. Imagine!

Earlier this month, Netflix revealed three new characters joining the Sex Education cast. Girls actress Jemima Kirke will play new headmistress ‘Hope’, Jason Isaacs from Harry Potter is playing ‘Peter Groff’, Mr Groff’s older brother, and gender nonconforming recording artist and songwriter, Dua Saleh will play 'Cal', a new student.

But fans are hoping the streaming service forgot to mention one actor who is also joining the cast: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood's Margot Robbie.

The rumour in question came about when a tweet from @netflxdiaries went viral, which read, "Sex Education. Season 3. February 2021. THE BIG SISTER IS HERE."

The photo showed Maeve Wiley, played by Emma Mackey, alongside Margot Robbie, in a tweet which has since had over 38k retweets and 233k (!) likes.

Thanks to the fact Emma and Margot look quite alike, it wouldn't be ~that~ unlikely for the pair to be cast together - but sadly this time it's looking unlikely. The photo of Margot is actually from Bombshell, where she played Kayla Pospisil.

Still, fans are desperate for the rumour to be true. "Margot Robbie joining the Sex Education cast, I thought I couldn’t love the show any more..." one person wrote, while another added, "Margot Robbie in Season 3 of Sex Education has literally made my day."

Sadly, we don't think it's happening. But still, we reached out for comment just to be sure.
