This Is Why Kourtney Kardashian Didn’t Show Up to Kim Kardashian’s Birthday Party
Kim Kardashian preemptively shut down any rumors about older sister Kourtney Kardashian's absence at her 43rd birthday party.
The Skims mogul celebrated her birthday this past weekend with a star-studded blowout bash, which saw the attendance of most of her family members including sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. However, the eldest Kardashian sister was nowhere to be seen.
Though the sisters's alleged rivalry has been highly speculated over since Hulu's The Kardashians aired an explosive phone fight between the two, Kim explained Kourtney's absence as due to her pregnancy.
“So blessed to have hit the jackpot of friends! I couldn’t have ever dreamed I would be so lucky to call these girls my friends ✨ thank you for all the birthday love ❤️,” she wrote, captioning a family portrait from the party as well as pictures of other guests. She concluded the note: “And Kourt I’m jumping in bed with you next week for our bed rest picnic 🎂”
Kourtney is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Travis Barker. She previously welcomed three children—Mason, Penelope, and Reign—with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. Barker also shares three kids–Landon, Alabama, and Atiana—with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
The Poosh founder also made sure to wish Kim a happy birthday via her Instagram Story, proving that their viral phone fight is now water under the bridge.
“People think the fights they’ve seen on tv are bad if only they got to witness the hair pulling, nail digging ones from early high school. The joys of sisterhood,” Kourtney wrote at the time, captioning an old selfie of the two together. “I love you deeply forever and always.”
