Why everyone's going wild for the John Lewis gingham check cushion

A £15 cushion from the John Lewis ANYDAY range has become a sell-out success.

The ANYDAY range covers home, nursery, fashion and tech and has been shopped by over two million customers since its launch one year ago. Recording sales of over £150 million, it's become the most successful launch in the history of John Lewis.

Offering style, quality, and value for money, prices start from £1 for kitchen essentials such as wooden spoons and measuring jugs to £600 for a three-door corner wardrobe.

But in the ANYDAY Home & Garden range, it's the Gingham Check Cushion that's become a firm customer favourite and star buy. Why? This cushion was flying off the shelves after being shown on fashion stylist's Alex Stedman and author Katherine Ormerod's Instagram accounts.

Available in Blue, Plaster and Natural, the cheerfully checked gingham square cushion with a matching frill is a great addition to your sofa or bed.

Unsurprisingly, it's currently sold out, but John Lewis confirms that more will be in stock this month.

The on-trend frilly cushion isn't the only item on the top-selling list. The £329 Dime Chair, also part of the ANYDAY range, sold out in two weeks when it first launched and it's still a firm favourite every time it's restocked.

We're not surprised though – with its bouclé upholstery, rattan back and sleek oak wood frame, this occasional chair's modern and petite proportions will sit beautifully in a contemporary space. The Dime Chair is also available in a dark wood frame and light grey upholstered seat, so take your pick!
