Emma Willis is calling the I'm a Celebrity winner before the show has even launched, so certain is she that close friend Giovanna Fletcher will be crowned Queen of the Castle.

The Voice host has good insider knowledge after all, having previously hosted I'm a Celebrity's spin-off show for two series alongside husband Matt Willis, who won the sixth series in 2006.

And the reason Emma thinks author and podcaster Giovanna will clinch it: she's "fun and one of the nicest human beings".

"I've known her like 15 years and from the minute I met her, I was like, 'I don't believe you, there's some darkness in there' and I'm still looking for it," Emma told RadioTimes.com.

"Genuinely, like she is just an incredible human being… she’s really considerate and thoughtful and she's like what you want your mum to be. She's like everything that you would want as a mother. That is G. But she's fun and she's one of the nicest human beings. And I mean, if she doesn't walk out the winner I'd be very surprised. I mean, I'll be voting!"

The TV star also revealed that she and former Busted singer Matt "had known for ages" that Giovanna would be going on the ITV show, with Matt reassuring her that she would have a great experience.

"Matt just kind of said, 'You’re gonna have the best time of your life!'," Emma continued. "It's one of Matt's most favourite experiences. And he had the best time in there."

I'm a Celebrity is set to be very different this year as it relocates to Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, but as per the regular series, celebrities will still undergo gruelling challenges and trials in order to secure food and treats.

The 2020 line-up was recently confirmed, with Giovanna being joined by Sir Mo Farah, Corrie legend Beverley Callard, award-winning broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire and EastEnders actor Shane Ritchie.

TV presenter Vernon Kay, Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Strictly's AJ Pritchard, Paralympic Hollie Arnold, and soap star Jessica Plummer.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! launches on ITV at 9pm on Sunday, 15 November.
