After binge-watching the second series of Selling Sunset in a weekend, we were happy to hear the third season of the Netflix original wasn't far away. And judging by the teaser, Chrishell Stause's divorce is likely to take centre stage.

At the end of the second season, the real estate agents are seen discussing the fact her husband and This Is Us actor Justin Hartley had filed for a divorce from Chrishell - something which she is seen telling Mary "blindsided her".

News broke in November 2019 that Justin wanted to separate after two years of marriage, with People reporting at the time that he had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.

Apparently, documents reportedly listed July 8, 2019, as the date of their separation, but the pair had been publicly attending events together (including the Emmy Awards) until November - around the time the third series of Selling Sunset was filming.

Screenrant released an insider report at the time which claimed "people close to Justin and Chrishell are completely shocked by Justin filing for divorce" and that "the couple has always been incredible with no signs of things being on the rocks".

Eeek.

In a new interview, 38-year-old Chrishell opened up about how uncomfortable filming felt while her marriage was falling apart. "The first eight episodes I came across a little unscathed and then the second half of season 2 is a little trickier for me,” she told ET Canada.

"This is still new for me trying to adjust to such an uncomfortable thing but unfortunately yes, the cameras were there," she added. "I still had a month left of shooting when my personal life kind of exploded. It’s not a comfortable thing to live in front of everyone.

"If I’m being 100 per cent honest with you, it’s friggin’ awkward. They were there and some of it is going to be shown and I’m dreading that."
