The pair - who share daughter Jadore and son Jevon - got engaged in the finale of season one, with Cherie proposing to Jessey during Jevon's '100 Day' party. And while we were hoping to see how their wedding plans were coming along in the second season of Bling Empire (particularly invested in their catering choices, tbh), we're guessing we'll just have to keep refreshing their social media profiles for now.
The couple confirmed to TMZ that they're leaving Bling Empire in order to focus more on their family, business and other endeavours. They added that they're grateful for their time on the first season of the Netflix series and they wish the show success in season two and beyond. Aw, you guys...
It comes after Cherie hinted that the pair may not be returning for a second series. In an interview with The Sun in February earlier this year, she explained that although the fans wanted her and Jessey to return, it wasn't set in stone.
"We’re thinking. We don’t know just because it’s so different for us. I can’t believe I have fans now. They definitely want to see us back, they want to see how our relationship is going to play out, how the wedding might happen. We should be back!
“It’s tough. As a mom I’m really worried about the kids. It’s stressful being a mom. It’s great, but it comes with a lot of mom wanting to protect her child. I had no idea it was going to be this big."
On March 12th, Netflix revealed they had officially renewed Bling Empire for a second season. While the show definitely won't be the same without our fave couple, we're pretty confident it's still going to bring *all* the drama.
