Who wore it best - Miranda Kerr or Freida Pinto in metallic Proenza Schouler

Miranda Kerr and Freida Pinto stun in metallic Proenza Schouler at the CFDA awards and in London

The CFDA awards in New York last night was awash with gorgeous gowns but former Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr stood out in a blue metallic Proenza Schouler dress.

The wife of Orlando Bloom shimmered in the midi-dress at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards, nailing the latest metallic trend that was all over the red carpet last night.

Mother of one Miranda kept accessories to a minimum as she paired the blue/green gown with a silver clutch and strappy, black satin heels.

Miranda opted for a simple chignon and make-up was kept to a minimum, with her berry red lips and perfectly groomed, full brows doing all the talking.

"Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto wore the same gorgeous gown back in March at a Proenza Schouler party in London.

The 28-year-old went for the orange version of the dress from pre-fall 2013 collection and included a thin, black waist belt to accentuate her curves.

Freida opted for black accessories -  her simple black clutch and peep toe t-bar heels finished the look off.

Both Miranda and Freida proved that you can work the metallic trend in a fun and flirty way.
