Love Island 2023 is officially on its way, with ITV revealing the line up of contestants heading into the South African villa today [9 January]. But if you find yourself thinking 'Where do I recognise new cast member Will from?', the chances are his farmer TikToks have come up on your 'For You Page' sometime before.
Finally. Something to fill the January void. Winter Love Island is back and better than ever, with a new host in the shape of Maya Jama, and a multi-million pound villa in South Africa.
Alongside a PE teacher and influencer, ITV have also shared a farmer is heading into the villa, in the shape of Will Young (no, not that one.) He's 23 and from Buckinghamshire, speaking in his opening interview about why he's heading onto the show.
"Having grown up on a farm, it’s been quite difficult juggling relationships and work," Will revealed. "Love Island will give me time away from the farm to solely go out and find love. I think I’m at the time of my life where I’m mature enough to go and find a wife."
If you think you recognise Will already, you probably do: he has 1.1 million followers on TikTok, and over 31 million likes. His videos often include him cuddling sheep, or dancing in a field, where he shares content under the handle @FarmerWill_.
Elsewhere in his interview, he also touched on his love of meditation. "Every night I light a candle and meditate for 20-25 minutes," he continued.
"A girl I was seeing told me to meditate, I tried it and loved it. I stopped seeing her and carried on meditating! It’s a nice way to self reflect, taking a minute on my day/ week. It’s really nice and sets me up for a nice sleep."
Good luck in the villa, Farmer Will!
