We've just found the best high-street dupe of *those* viral Miu Miu ballet flats
Fashion month is always brimming with new trends to know for the season ahead, and not just on the runway. Outside the shows, the street style offering is a sight in its own right, with editors and influencers alike flitting about while demonstrating how to style said trends.
Both for spring/summer 2023 and autumn/winter 2024, the shoe du jour was undoubtedly Miu Miu's ballet flats - a minimalist update to the brand's 2016 design. While the famous predecessor featured punk-inspired leather straps and monochrome check ribbons, the newer version is more stripped back, resembling a classic pointe shoe.
Available in black, white, baby pink and gold, the Miu Miu flats come in both satin and leather finishes – as well as the new bedazzled iteration. As for how to wear them, the style set dials up the preppy vibes. We're talking: mini hemlines (another trend popularised by the Italian fashion house in recent seasons), oversized tailored co-ords, and an optional pair of tights or socks:
For those obsessed with the iconic flats, you might be contemplating investing in the real deal. Perhaps, unsurprisingly, they don't come cheap, retailing for a cool £700 (or more).
