We're *obsessed* with this teaser of Jesy Nelson and Nicki Minaj's collab
It's been almost a year since Jesy Nelson announced she was leaving Little Mix after nine years with the band. And, after deleting all of her posts on Instagram in recent weeks, fans suspected that we would be seeing a new era of Jesy very soon.
Thankfully, it seems that era has well and truly arrived, as Jesy took to Instagram last night to share a teaser of her new music collaboration with Nicki Minaj. In the clip, Jesy is seen werrrrking it with her backing dancers in rehearsals, and smiling at the camera with a full set of gold grills. Towards the end of the teaser, Nicki announces: "It's the UK baddie and the Barbie."
Jesy captioned the post, "Do you think they’re ready for this? @nickiminaj #Boyz." The teaser clearly went down a real treat with her followers, and has already racked up nearly a million likes. In the comments section, fans and celebs alike couldn't contain their excitement. "CAN’T WAITTTT," wrote one Instagram user, another said "I can’t cope …. I’m loosing [sic] my head." A third fan commented, "JESY X NICKI AM I DREAMING?"
Before dropping the teaser, Jesy took to her Instagram Story to hype fans up for it. "I spy with my little eye something beginning with..... B!!!!!!" she wrote. The 'B' presumably meaning Boyz, the name of her track with Nicki.
Since overhauling her Instagram, Jesy has debuted an entirely new aesthetic, and shared a post on 12 August which said: "This is the new chapter. For me, this is the music that I've always wanted to make. I don't think that anyone is gonna expect this."
The voiceover was followed by a series of clips of Jesy and her team, and in some of them Jesy could be seen crying (what looked like) happy tears.
We literally can't wait to see, and hear, everything that Jesy is working on.
