We're only on week two of Strictly Come Dancing's live shows, but this weekend, we'll be treated to the first couples' choice dance of the 2020 series.

The couples' choice is a chance for the dancers to break away from the numbers we're used to seeing from the traditional Latin and Ballroom worlds. In the past, contestants have tried their hands at everything from street dance to contemporary to musical theatre.

This weekend (31 October), Nicola Adams and Katya Jones will be dancing couples' choice to the song 'Shine' by Years & Years. We'll have to wait and see what style they're going for, but we're definitely already excited about this one.

Last week, Nicola and Katya danced the Quickstep and scored a very respectable 21 out of 30 with the judging panel.

Head judge Shirley Ballas said of the pair: "Light on your feet, whipped round the floor, this is just a partnership I'm really going to enjoy."

Nicola and Katya are making history as the first same-sex duo on Strictly. When this news was first announced, Nicola said: "I wanted to thank the BBC for supporting me and making me the first ever all female-pairing; and it’s amazing to be a part of the movement for change, diversity and breaking boundaries in the entertainment industry."
