Once on the shelves, the tome sold more than a million copies in its first year. In the memoir, Keith opened up about his childhood, how he learned to play the guitar, his youthful excesses and his complicated relationship with Mick Jagger, including one revelation about the singer's private parts that only almost split up The Stones!

After receiving several offers from other publishing houses, Tina Fey signed a deal with Little, Brown and Company for her memoir, 'Bossypants'. The comedian, who became the first female head writer of the 'Saturday Night Live' writing staff, received a reputed $6 million for the book in which she shared anecdotes about her different facets: daughter, comedian, wife, actress, mother and screenwriter, all with her unique sense of humour.

The Duke of Sussex caused a lot of controversy with the release of his memoir 'Spare' in 2023. In the pages, Prince Harry criticised his father King Charles, brother Prince William and the British Royal Family as an institution. He also shared the most intimate moments of his life, including how he lost his virginity and how he fell in love with actress Meghan Markle, as well as the details of their subsequent marriage and escape to LA. Harry reportedly received a $20 million advance from Penguin Random House for his memoirs, but also for three other publications.
