Craig Revel Horwood is set to get married in one of the UK's most haunted locations.

The 56-year-old ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge will tie the knot with his fiancé Jonathan Myring in a church near Rutland Water, in an area called Witches Heath, which dates back to the 1800s and has been known as a witchcraft hotspot for centuries with a history of ghost sightings and murder.

An insider told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: “This will no doubt come as a surprise to Craig, who probably didn’t pick the location for its supernatural history, more its natural beauty.

“Thankfully, he also has a great sense of humour so won’t see it as a hurdle to getting married there, unless he’s been hiding a deeply superstitious streak.”

Craig previously revealed plans to move to the hometown of his 35-year-old fiancé, which is where the wedding will take place.

He said: "It's going to be on Rutland Water because we're moving to Northamptonshire, where Jonathan is from."

The pair - who initially met on dating app Tinder - got engaged while on holiday in Tasmania and have survived spending the lockdown together, although the dancer confessed he has been a bit difficult to live with.

He admitted: "I have been getting on his nerves a bit."

Meanwhile, the pair didn't want to rush their wedding as they wanted to make sure COVID-19 restrictions won’t impact their big day.

Craig explained: “I want it to be big and fun, not a COVID wedding with five people there.”

And Craig has admitted in the past that he'd would love to return to the Australian state for their honeymoon.

He said: "Then I'd love to jet off to the Maldives, then perhaps return to Tasmania on our honeymoon."
