We've long known that being pregnant isn't easy. The morning sickness, the hormones, the weird food cravings and the extra weight you have to carry. Believe us, we sympathise. But until now, there has been no way for us men to know exactly what it's like to carry a baby inside of us. Enter Tiktok content creator Maitland Hanley.
Hanley has recently become a father and wanted to find out what it's like to actually carry a baby, so, like any sane man would, he strapped a watermelon to his stomach and a couple of melons onto his chest.
Unfortunately though, Hanley fell at the first hurdle and wasn't able to get himself out of bed with all that extra, cumbersome weight attached to him.
"I thought it would be so much easier," he admits as his friends laugh at him hysterically.
Still, Hanley's effort was not in vain.
His video has been viewed more than 15 million times and has almost two million likes. It's also being used as a quasi-education tool for men.
One female viewer said that after seeing the video she wants to do something similar with her partner "as he keeps saying 'come on, you can do it'," while another simply wrote, "Now you know how I get out of bed."
