Watch CrossFit Champ Mat Fraser Crush a Biceps Workout

He was almost untouchable on the competition floor and is now regarded as one of the greatest-ever athletes to grace the sport — CrossFit's Mat Fraser is a true master of fitness.

But that doesn't mean he shies away from the odd bodybuilding workout.

In a recent video posted to the FRA5ER YouTube channel – aptly titled "The Ultimate Bro Sesh"– the five-time CrossFit Games winner took his viewers through a heavy-duty bicep workout with filmmakers Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers (AKA The Buttery Bros) in his newly-renovated home gym.

Since his retirement from competitive CrossFit, Mat Fraser has admitted to enjoying the comparative simplicity and the change of pace that some bodybuilding workouts can bring, and the session that he grinds at 6AM is no different.

Working in a circuit, the group goes through several stations that are designed to hit the back or biceps. Some can smoke both muscle groups simultaneously. Each of them grinds out reps on a single-arm cable preacher curl, wide EZ bar curl, lat pull-downs, single-arm dumbbell rows, cable curls and reverse bench flys. (Continued below)

"I'm not as concerned about actual performance now," Fraser said in an interview with Men's Health. "It's more just about health and fitness and having fun with friends. I built a phenomenal home gym with the intent of having two of everything so that my friends could come over and workout and we could push each other."

"My natural instinct, from what I've done for years, is no socialising in the gym," he continued. "I’m focused on the task at hand. But then I was like, ‘No, no, no. It’s fine if you chit-chat between sets.'"

And this session was exactly that: a bit of friendly chat and banter between friends during a bicep workout. We couldn't think of anything better.
