Washington’s Ty Jones makes unbelievable diving one-handed catch (Video)

Washington’s Ty Jones made one of the best catches of the season on Saturday against Stanford.

The Huskies only scored three points in the first half, and came out in the third quarter trailing 24-3. Jones made a huge play — a one-handed catch for a 42-yard gain — to give his offense some juice and set up a first-and-goal.

But words don’t do Jones’ catch the proper justice. Watch this:

On the very next play, Sean McGrew scored from six yards out to cut Stanford’s lead to 24-10.

It was just the fifth catch of the season for Jones, a 6-foot-4 junior who caught 31 passes for 491 yards and six touchdowns back in 2018 but took a redshirt last year.

The Huskies overcame a 21-0 halftime deficit by scoring 24 straight points in a dramatic win last week against Utah. They nearly had a similar comeback this week, but Stanford held on to win the game 31-26.
