Was The Mum Who ‘Squirted Her Breastmilk’ At A Bully Justified?

Most of us agree that if your baby is hungry, you have the right to feed them without having to hide away from public areas.

So when one mum breastfeeding in a park was told to move to somewhere private, she was understandably outraged. But she reacted in a rather unorthodox way - by squirting her assailant with her breast milk.

According to a post on the Dartford Gossip Facebook page, a woman was sitting with her husband in Dartford Park and saw the mum breastfeeding her child nearby.

After asking the mum “to go somewhere private”, the mum reacted by “telling me to f**k off and squirting me with your boobs”.

The entire post says this:

“To the lady Dartford park who thought it was appropriate to breastfeed her baby whist my child and very easily distracted husband sat near by.

“I don’t think it was necessary for you to react the way you did just because I asked you to go somewhere private, telling me to f**k off and squirting me with your boobs was incredibly uncalled for.

“I hope you are ashamed of yourself!”

Almost everyone who commented on the post agreed that the mum had every right to feed her baby wherever she likes.

One commenter said: “Her reaction is not on but why shouldn’t she feed her baby in public? I would have had a few choice words for you if you had asked me to go else where.

“There is something wrong with people who think seeing someone breastfeeding is inappropriate.”

Another posted: “You should be ashamed of yourself! (sic) It’s hard enough to breast feed a baby let alone be judged for it in public! If I had to breastfeed my 3 month old in public I would permanently have my tits out!”

Whether the mum’s actual reaction was justified, however, divided opinions.

Some believed it was inappropriate, as one person wrote:

“Whilst I don’t agree with the latter part of the reaction. I completely agree with her telling you to sod off. There is nothing more natural than a lady feeding her baby. Your child and husband should be educated.”

Another commented: “ I think the young mum was absolutely right in telling you to feck off! If you stand close to a young mum whilst she’s feeding her baby and you disturb her, expect a little squirt!”
