When is Boxing Day in Canada?
In case you need a reminder, Boxing Day this year (and every year) falls the day after Christmas, on Dec. 26. However, at Walmart Canada, Boxing Day sales kick off earlier with deals beginning on Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. EST (3 p.m. PST).
What started out as a day off when employers would give gifts to servants and their families in Britain to show their gratitude, Boxing Day became an official bank and public holiday in 1871.
How can I shop Walmart Canada's Boxing Day Sale?

How to shop smart on Boxing Day
In the heat of the moment, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by choices when you’re shopping. To help curb impulse buys, Walmart is also sharing a few top tips to make sure you find exactly what you’re looking for this Boxing Day, no matter where you decide to shop.
1. Stay up to date
To be notified of all the latest sales and deals, you'll want to sign up for Walmart emails and get exclusive information about Boxing Day sales. You can also download the Walmart Canada app, where you can enable push notifications to stay in the loop about sales, special offers and more.
2. Set a budget
If you’re looking to stay on budget, give yourself an allowance ahead of time, and separate items into must-haves and nice-to-haves so you don’t end up going overboard on sale items.
3. Plan ahead
If you’ll be shopping online, be sure to fill your cart ahead of time to put together a shopping list of items to watch. That way, when the deals go live, you’ll already have everything together and can beat the rush to the checkout.
4. Get up early
Plan on waking up early (or staying up late) to get a head start on the items on your list before they sell out, or things get overcrowded in-store.
Though this year's Boxing Day sale doesn't officially kick off until later this week, you can still shop a selection of Walmart Canada's must-have deals below.
