“The King, the Widow, and Rick” episode of The Walking Dead was all over the place, literally. There are several storylines unravelling as next week’s penultimate episode approaches.
At the Hilltop, Maggie decided to bring the Savior prisoners inside the gates and lock them in an outdoor holding pen. She also threw Gregory in there for safekeeping.
Rick visited the Scavengers to try to form an alliances, but all he ended up doing was getting thrown into a storage container.
Carl befriended the guy Rick shot at earlier in the season. His name is Siddiq, and he goes around “freeing the souls” of walkers by killing them. Carl insisted Siddiq join his group, despite his father’s wishes. He said, “Sometimes kids have to find their own way to show their parents the way.”
Rosarita had the best kill of the season when she shot a Savior with a rocket launcher. It was incredibly ridiculous and even more awesome.
She and Michonne met up with Darryl, and it looks like they are on a mission to kill some Saviors.
And then there was Carol, who spent the episode trying to get King Ezekiel to stop moping after getting his people gunned down.
All of these storylines should start to converge next week.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
