Waitrose reveals what Heston will be serving up for Xmas

Yes, we know it's still September (just!), but one of our favourite things about the run-up to Christmas is the big food reveals from all the major supermarkets.

This year, Waitrose has got in early by revealing what Heston Blumenthal will be serving up for the festive season as part of their Heston from Waitrose range.

Heston – who's renowned for his experimental approach to food with curious creations, immersive dining experiences and sometimes divisive dishes – actually celebrated his 10th anniversary with Waitrose yesterday. So this year's additions to his Christmas range look even more incredible.

We've shared five of our favourites below, along with Waitrose's descriptions, but Heston has also dreamed up even more. There's a citrus lemon smoked salmon, an exclusive fish and seafood platter (featuring two specially smoked salmons and his signature bloody Mary prawn cocktail in one beautiful centrepiece) and a sherry trifle panettone. The Heston from Waitrose range is available exclusively in Waitrose shops and on Waitrose.com, from mid-October and throughout the festive season.
