Easter is of course exciting for kids. Hunting eggs, eating far more chocolate than usually allowed to, time off school. But it's also a time for grown-ups to treat themselves, and in recent years more and more grown-up Easter options have been popping up to delight those with a few more years under their belt.
One of our favourite 2021 grown-up Easter treats so far are these stunning chocolate pomegranates from Waitrose. They're just so lifelike!
2020's spring lemon went down a storm with shoppers, so the supermarket has added another chocolate fruit to the family. The quirky confection is "sweet, sharp and fruity." They're made with caramelised white chocolate combined with real pomegranate. The fun gift might just fool whoever is on the receiving end.
The Waitrose Easter range launches mid-February online and in store, with these beauties costing £3 each.
The supermarket revealed searches for Easter are already up 266% on last year. It looks like as soon as Christmas was over we were already looking forward to the spring holiday; searches for Easter eggs increased 300% from 28 December to the 5 January, compared to last year.
Anni Ludhra-Gent, Waitrose Seasonal Brand Manager said in the press release: "We are all in need of things to celebrate and look forward to in the coming months - with Easter being the event we’re all hoping will put a spring back in our step!"
