Wagamama is da bomb – we all know that. But you can’t possibly order a Wagamama delivery or head to a restaurant for Wagamama’s katsu curry any damn time you feel like it – you’re not made of money, are you?!
So, how would you like it if Wagamama launched a ‘cook at home’ range? You’d like that, wouldn’t you?
Well you’re in luck, friend, because Wagamama has done just that!
The iconic restaurant brand will be starting to sell its meal kits, curry pastes and sauces from Monday (14 June) in Waitrose, before expanding its range to Morrisons, Sainsbury’s Tesco and Ocado in the next few weeks.
But the good news doesn’t end there – all profits from the range will be donated to mental health charity partner YoungMinds.
Wagamama has worked closely with YoungMinds over the past year and wanted it to benefit from the new product range after seeing the impact of the pandemic on people’s mental health.
Emma Thomas, chief executive officer of YoungMinds, said: “Our partnership with Wagamama has already been instrumental in helping us to reach more young people with advice, support and messages of hope and we are thrilled that Wagamama’s profits from this exciting new range will be donated to YoungMinds.
“This funding will be a huge help towards accelerating our work to make sure all young people get the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.”
