Vogue Williams gave her husband Spencer Matthews a few brutal words after he attended his son’s party in “his knickers, practically”. In a clip shared to their social media from their podcast, Vogue narrated Spencer’s attire for the party. “Your shorts are so short, I am looking at your arse here,” Vogue quipped to which Spencer replied, “what’s it doing for you?” leaving Vogue to reply with a sarcastic comment, “honestly not a lot.” Vogue then went on: “Spenny and I were going to T’s party, we had a birthday party for T because he turned 6 and Spenny pops out in the tiniest shorts with slits.”

Spencer proceeded to stand up and show off his shorts which were black that indeed did have slits in the side of each leg. Vogue continued: “He wore these to Theodre’s birthday and we was going up to this thing called Go Ape where you climb up all this stuff in the trees and out comes Spenny in his knickers practically.” To Spencer’s amusement, he said: “I wanted to make sure I was limber and wearing the correct attire for Go Ape.” Spencer and Vogue fell in love on the slopes when they took part in The Jump in 2017, although Vogue had to drop out when she sustained a knee injury.

Spencer, who went on to win the series, proposed a year after they started dating and one month later they announced that Vogue was pregnant.

The couple were married in June 2018 at Spencer’s family’s Glen Affric estate – a fairy-tale castle, complete with Rapunzel-style turrets, in Scotland. Their first son, Theodore, was born in the September, followed by their daughter, Gigi, in July 2020, and Otto.

Speaking exclusively to OK! earlier this year, Spencer admits starting a family so soon meant they didn’t really take advantage of being a carefree couple.

“We were rather quick on the old, ‘Let’s have loads of kids’ thing,” he says, laughing. “It’s fine but it was quite interesting waking up and not having the responsibility of the three children to kind of look after. It felt quite strange at first, but obviously very nice in the end.”

Without their little ones drawing on the walls or asking for snacks, the pair – almost – didn’t know what to do with themselves. “We both got quite a lot of reading done,” he says, grinning cheekily. “We love a good read. We got loads of skiing in. We shared some beautiful meals.”

While they enjoyed 72 hours of being just husband and wife, Spencer admits he and Vogue, 38, soon missed their children, adding, “The conversation does feel a bit dry without the kids.”
