Viola Davis attains EGOT status with Grammy win

NPR reports that on Feb. 5, Davis won a Grammy for best audiobook, narration and storytelling recording for 'Finding Me,' a memoir. She beat nominees Mel Brooks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Questlove and Jamie Foxx. Davis won Tonys for 'King Hedley II' in 2001 and 'Fences' in 2010. In 2015, she won an Emmy for 'How to Get Away With Murder'. In 2017, she took home an Oscar for 'Fences'. Those awards have made her the third Black woman to ever achieve EGOT status.
