One person commented: "Can't make out if this is a drama or a comedy? I'm confused #FindingAlice," while a second tweeted similarly: "Anybody else confused watching #FindingAlice?? Can't work out if they've tried to make it a comedy or what." A third echoed this, writing: "Finding Alice is just plain odd, seemingly flip-flopping between gallows humour and serious drama."

However, the seemingly unclear theme of the show proved to be a hit with others, who loved the humour mixed in with the serious subject matter. "#FindingAlice is such a gem! So sad and emotional but layered with sarcasm and humour which makes it less heavy but still profound," said a viewer.

Another agreed, stating: "What I can say about #FindingAlice so far is that, you can't put it into a box and I love this. The series feels real. It shows the ups & downs of grief, the weirdness & everything in between," while another said: "#FindingAlice was chaotically wonderful. I cried, laughed, screamed and hugged my pillow and at one stage I think I did all of them at once."

The six-part series tells the story of Alice Dillon, played by The Durrells star Keeley Hawes, who's partner Harry dies after falling down the stairs.

While coming to grips with his sudden death, Alice has to navigate their brand new (smart) home as well as the admin difficulties that often come after losing a loved one.

In the mix of this, more and more details about Harry's personal life and financial position come to light, changing Alice's world completely.
