This new video of Meghan Markle playing with her dogs is a must-watch
We recently reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left behind the hustle and bustle of LA to set up shop in Montecito, Santa Barbara (an hour and a half or so outside of the big city). It's believed the move came about as the couple wanted more privacy and because Harry simply didn't get on with Los Angeles – but the pair have already offered small glimpses into their new luxury home.
This time around, it's believed that Meghan has recorded an important video, which shows off the back garden of their rumoured sixteen bedroom property in the background. Although the location is officially (as yet) unconfirmed, given that her spritely dogs, Guy and Pula, make an appearance, it seems a relatively safe bet that the yard does in fact belong to the royals. Unsurprisingly, it's rather lovely and spacious, with plenty of flourishing greenery (definitely on par with Kate Middleton's family home).
So, what's this video actually all about then? It features the Duchess of Sussex in conversation with feminist icon and writer, Gloria Steinem (recently portrayed by Rose Byrne in Mrs America), during which they discuss the importance of voting. The meeting was facilitated by MAKERS, an organisation which says it exists "to accelerate the women’s movement through stories of real-life experiences that ignite passion and action".
Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and @GloriaSteinem discuss representation, why each vote matters and how all women “are linked, not ranked." MAKERS has an exclusive look at that historic backyard chat! 🙌 Q&A to come tomorrow! https://t.co/e0WY2hjTju pic.twitter.com/AExOmNdWIb

At the beginning of a clip shared by MAKERS on Twitter, Gloria can be heard saying to Meghan, "Meg, welcome home! I'm so glad that you're home" (presumably in relation to her moving back to America, but hey, maybe not? Maybe she'd left Gloria in the back garden while she nipped to Walmart for some milk or something?).
Meghan then says, "Thank you, me too. For so many reasons." She also expresses her admiration for Gloria too, citing her as a powerful force of change: "People forget how hard women like you and so many others before you fought for us to just be where we are right now."
It's shortly after that when the royal pooches come bounding into shot, to which Meghan laughs and pets them, saying, "Hi, honey. Come here!" Which is, of course, extremely cute to witness. Gloria then adds, "He wants to be on camera."
The full interview is set to be shared by MAKERS later on today. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it!
