Victoria Beckham throws the world's best garden party to launch her Target collection

On Saturday, Victoria Beckham brought England to LA, throwing a lavish garden party to celebrate the launch of her affordable Target range.

Held at Mohammed Hadid’s house (yes, Gigi and Bella’s dad), celebrities including Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana and Naomie Harris turned out to look at the wearable collection.

Guests were able to make flower crowns in the rose-filled garden, matching the floral prints found throughout the collection.

Victoria herself was seen in a shirt and trousers from the range while two of her children, Harper and Romeo, were spotted running around.

“Today’s event is really celebrating me and Harper and Britain,” she told WWD. “Now seemed like the right time to really celebrate the fun side to my collections.”

“It’s also the first time I’ve done children’s clothes so it’s great to celebrate my relationship with her and the things we do together – what that’s collecting flowers or walking to the park or reading books.”

In fact, the party was perfect for kids with a storytelling corner, paper bunny-making station and a real life mermaid providing entertainment.

“It’s just so nice when you can bring your kids to work with you. I’m a mum and I love to be able to include my family as much as possible,” the designer added.

The 200-piece collection will go up to a UK size 24; the first time Victoria’s clothes have ever reached such a size. The full collection launches on 9 April.
