Victoria Beckham has penned a letter to her future self for Vogue – and opened up about what's keeping her 22-year marriage to David strong in lockdown.

The former Spice Girl and fashion designer said she was motivated to write the letter 'as it's a new year' and she 'wanted to take a moment and reflect' on the lessons of the past 12 months.

One of her highlights has been spending more time with her family, including her children Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15 and 9-year-old Harper, whom she joked are probably all taller than her future self. '[That time together] is something you’ll no doubt cherish,' she wrote.

Victoria also mused on the juggling act of building a successful fashion and beauty empire whilst 'being a mum, a wife, a friend' which 'creates a constantly shifting push-pull in life'. 'But you think big, love the hustle, and you never take no for an answer,' she added.

Her enforced downtime in quarantine with David – due to the ongoing Covid restrictions – has kept her 28.8m Instagram followers entertained, especially this brilliant photo of Victoria 'sorting the kids' snacks before date night' whilst wearing 'plastic pants':

She admitted getting dressed up while staying home is not just for social media, it helps with 'preserving that bit of mystique' in her 20-year relationship.

'You’ve said f*ck it, and put on a great dress and a smoky eye,' Victoria wrote. 'You always liked to surprise people – especially David. Preserving that bit of mystique is always helpful after almost 22 years of marriage. (What anniversary are you celebrating now?)'
