It's no secret that Victoria Beckham has gorgeously glowing skin, but while the fashion designer frequently posts about her favourite radiance-boosting products on Instagram (including her latest serum, in collaboration with Augustinus Bader), she's tended to keep the facial treatments she has more under wraps.
Until now, that is. As the designer prepares to unveil her latest autumn/winter 2020 collection at London Fashion Week, her facialist Nilam Holmes has revealed the facial she relies upon to get her skin ready for fashion month and beyond.
In the form of a short video on Instagram, captioned, "Collagenwave for the lovely @victoriabeckham," Holmes shows the designer in the treatment chair, having a radiofrequency-based skin-tightening facial.
The noninvasive Collagenwave treatment is said to promote the production of collagen, helping the complexion look fuller and plumper, thus reducing signs of ageing, while also giving the skin a healthy, rejuvenated glow.
"The cylinder shaped wand delivers rf [radiofrequency] energy into the skin to heat up the lower layers of the skin to around 42 degrees at which point effective skin tightening is achieved," Holmes explains.
"[It] is probably the most popular treatment I do," she continues. "The results are seen immediately and improve over time... I have used it on a lot of my young clients for many years now and they haven’t really aged."
If you're wondering what other treatments Beckham might have in her glowing skin arsenal, Holmes also explained that she tends to combine the treatment with mild peels, microneedling and deep-cleaning techniques, like a Hydra Facial, for the best results.
It might sound like a lot, but it is all offered as part of the Grand Lux Facial at Dermaspa in London. The two-and-a-half-hour treatment, described as "perfect for a red-carpet event", is a full skin overhaul that can be tailored to target most major skin concerns including wrinkles, pigmentation and blemishes for the cool price of £400.
