We’ve Just Discovered That Strawberry KitKats Exist And They’re Perfect For Summer

·2-min read

Simple as they are, KitKats are just about one of the best chocolate bars out there – especially the iconic KitKat Chunky.

And as much as we love the original KitKat, we sure do get a kick out of any new flavours we hear about, including these very exciting strawberry KitKats!

We first heard about the strawberry KitKat when @kevssnackreviews shared a photo on Instagram.

Annoyingly, these aren’t available in UK supermarkets or corner shops, but you can get them from Hey Sweetie, which is an online company that imports foreign sweets, chocolate and snacks.

Describing the strawberry KitKat, which is an import from India, @kevssnackreviews says: “The strawberry flavour is infused into the chocolate and although it’s artificial it gives it a pleasant sweet strawberry flavour. It’s very nice, reminded me of strawberry Nesquik.”

He adds that, weirdly, this particular KitKat comes with just three fingers instead of four.

Anyway, you can pick up a strawberry KitKat from Hey Sweetie for £1.10, not including postage and packing.

In more exciting KitKat news, a vegan KitKat is now available!

In February, Nestlé announced that it was launching vegan KitKats and all our plant-based dreams came true!

Finally spotted in stores a couple of weeks ago, the KitKat V features smooth chocolate blended with plant-based ingredients to perfectly balance the brand’s trademark crisp wafer.

KitKat V was developed by chocolatiers and food scientists in Nestlé’s Research and Development centre in York: the original home of KitKat. The team worked hard to design a vegan alternative that would live up to the high expectations of KitKat lovers everywhere.

Louise Barrett, Head of the Nestlé Confectionery Product Technology Centre in York said: “Taste was a priority when developing the plant-based chocolate for our new vegan KitKat. We used our expertise in ingredients, together with a test and learn approach, to create a delicious vegan choice for KitKat fans.”
