The Vamps star James McVey has finally married his fiancée Kirstie Brittain after delaying the ceremony due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The 27-year-old guitarist, who competed on the 2018 series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, exchanged vows with the model at Lulworth Castle in Dorset over the weekend.

McVey later announced the news on Instagram by sharing a variety of professional snaps from the big day, including one of them walking down the castle steps as the guests shower them with flower petals.

In the caption, he wrote, "I never believed the cliché 'best day of your life' thing, then it happened," while Kirstie shared a snap of them posing in their wedding attire with their dog and added, "Everything I could ever ask for. 30/10/21," with a ring emoji.

The musician enlisted his bandmates Brad Simpson, Connor Ball, and Tristan Evans to all serve as his best men.

He previously revealed to Metro that he and Kirstie were originally supposed to get married last November but they ultimately postponed it by almost a year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

"It is meant for November, but the problem is that the government haven't really set out any plans for how weddings can go back to normal," he said. "Thirty people can be at a reception, but have to be socially distanced.

"We have elderly relatives in Liverpool who would have to travel down to Dorset, where we're getting married. Kirstie and I are thinking it's best to postpone it until Halloween next year."
