Uncharted, the big-screen movie adaptation of the PlayStation game series, could be getting its first trailer very soon.

Tom Holland, who is playing a young version of treasure hunter Nathan Drake, has been announced as a presenter of The Game Awards, which will be taking place next Thursday (November 10).

Geoff Keighley, the ceremony's host and executive producer, made the announcement on Twitter alongside a banner that contains an image of Holland from the film (in fact, the only officially released image from the film so far).

The Game Awards have previously debuted movie trailers for the Assassin's Creed movie and Jumanji: The Next Level, so them dropping a trailer for the Uncharted movie is very much in their MO. It's not just us speculating this, fans think it's happening too.

"Do I smell an Uncharted movie teaser [coming]?" one responded, while another confident fan wrote: "Calling it. Getting our first look at Uncharted next week."

As well as Holland, the Uncharted movie will star Mark Wahlberg as Victor 'Goddamn' Sullivan, or Sully, if you prefer. Some set photos had us worried, but later filming pictures showed us that is indeed sporting that character's famous moustache.

We don't know much about the film apart from the castings, but knowing Tom Holland, we might get a few spoilers at the awards show.

Filming on Uncharted has wrapped, or principal photography has at least, and Holland is now hard at work filming the third solo Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie. Not only will it follow the absolutely brilliant twist during the credits of Far from Home, but also feature previous live-action Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Uncharted is due for release on July 16, 2021.
