You’d think retouching errors would be a thing of the past what with hundreds of eyes checking magazine covers and shoots before they go to print. But this year had plenty of Photoshop blunders from Kendall and Gigi’s missing knees to Kerry Washington’s whitened face.

However, this year saw a big change. Instead of the public, the celebrities themselves became the ones to call publications out, often taking to Instagram to send a more realistic message.
