Ukrainian border guards have adopted a kestrel and taught it to embark on a mission.

The troops rescued Jimmy the kestrel at one of the positions and took the bird into their unit.

They fed, looked after, and awarded him the rank of sailor.

"When Jimmy became ready for full-time service, he went behind enemy lines with a secret combat mission," they stated.

The Ukrainian Army has enjoyed a recent run of incredible military successes, pushing their Russian adversaries back and liberating numerous key strategic settlements in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, as well as making gains in the Kherson region.
