Dominic Raab has said strict restrictions will return if there is an "uptick" in coronavirus cases as the UK lockdown is further eased.

Speaking to Sky's Sophy Ridge on Sunday, he said "we will have to take further measures again and target the virus wherever it may appear".

Small groups of people will be able to meet within the rules for the first time from Monday in England, while more than two million clinically extremely vulnerable people will be allowed to spend time with other people outdoors.

Meanwhile, thousands of protestors have defied social distancing rules to protest over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed African-American man who was killed while in police custody on Monday. The demonstrations came as the UK's official Covid-19 death toll rose by 113 on Sunday, bringing the total to 38,489.
