Two-storey office building goes under the hammer in Southampton

A TWO-storey office building has gone under the hammer in Southampton.

Unit 12 of Northam Business Centre in Princes Street sold for £85,000 at auction.

It was among 141 lots listed in England by Clive Emson Auctioneers.

Rob Marchant, the firm’s auctioneer for Hampshire, said: “The vacant premises, at 651 sq ft and at an affordable price for a freehold commercial property, was sold with a final bid of £85,000.”

Clive Emson Auctioneers’ next auction, the third of eight this year, ends on May 4, with bidding opening 48 hours beforehand.

Lot entries close on April 11, with the catalogue available from April 15.

It comes as a parcel of land with planning permission for a detached house near Romsey also sold for £167,000.

The 0.16-acre freehold plot, adjacent to 1 Brownhill Road, North Baddesley, near All Saints Church, sold after 44 bids were made.
