Two people sent to hospital after dog attack at recreation ground

Four people have been injured in a dog attack at a recreation ground with two of them needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to Smallbone Recreation Ground on Britwell Road in Didcot after a dog attacked another dog, two men and a woman in their 50s and a man in his 20s.

One of the men in his 50s and the woman required hospital treatment.

The dog that attacked the other dog and the group of people has been seized by Thames Valley Police.

The attack happened last Wednesday (September 27) at around 10.30am.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “We received a report of a dangerous dog incident in Smallbone Recreation Ground in Britwell Road, Didcot, at around 10.35am on Wednesday (September 27).

“A dog attacked another dog and four people. Two men and a woman in their 50s and a man in his 20s were injured trying to separate them.

“Officers attended and seized the dog that attacked the other dog.

“One of the men in his 50s and the woman required hospital treatment. “
