Two-year-old boy survives after being flung from car on highway in Malaysia

A two-year-old boy had a miracle escape after being flung from a car that was hit by a reckless driver on a motorway.

The youngster was sitting on his father's lap when the accident happened in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia on Monday afternoon.

Dashcam footage shows how a Perodua Myvi and a blue Honda Jazz were playing 'cat and mouse' when they clipped the vehicle containing the youngster.

The family's Honda Civic spun out of control and the door swung open.

The boy, who was not wearing a seatbelt, landed on the highway, coming within inches of being ran over by approaching cars.

Police said the youngster suffered grazes across his body but did not break any bones or have any serious injuries.

He was picked up at the scene by an ambulance and taken to hospital.

Police said the 20-year-old driver of the white Perodua Myvi was arrested on Tuesday, while the 23-year-old driver of the blue Honda Jazz surrendered himself to the police.
