Two Bridgerton stars are joining the cast of The Witcher

The Witcher has shared an exciting season two update: there have been a number of new cast members added to the season two cast of the Netflix show.

Two cast members from Bridgerton will join The Witcher season two. Adjoa Andoh (who played the role of Lady Danbury) will star as Nenneke, while Chris Fulton (who played the role of Sir Phillip Crane) will feature as Rience in The Witcher.


Silent Witness star Liz Carr will also feature on The Witcher as Fenn and Outlander star Graham McTavish will join in the role of Dijkstra.

The other new cast members include Cassie Clare (who will play Phillippa Eilhart), Kevin Doyle (who will play Ba’lian) and Simon Callow (who will play Codringher).

The Witcher's second season is set to be action-packed as Geralt of Rivia will bring Princess Cirilla to a safe place – his childhood home, Kaer Morhen – as he's convinced Yennefer died at the Battle of Sodden.

As the Continent's people and supernatural creatures strive for power, Geralt of Rivia finds out that he needs to protect Princess Cirilla from her own mysterious abilities.

Confirmed members of the cast returning for season two include Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Tom Canton, Lilly Cooper, Jeremy Crawford, Eamon Farren, Mahesh Jadu, Terence Maynard, Lars Mikkelsen, Mimî M Khayisa, Royce Pierreson, Wilson Mbomio, Anna Shaffer, and Therica Wilson-Read.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich serves as both showrunner and executive producer for The Witcher. The new season will be directed by The Umbrella Academy's Stephen Surjik alongside guest directors Sarah O’Gorman, Ed Bazalgette and Louise Hooper.

The Witcher is available to stream on Netflix.
