Chris Evans' acting skills are not the only thing to garner attention for the star these days, thanks to a recent wardrobe choice that showed off his chest tattoos.
During the 39-year-old's virtual interview with ACE Universe on Tuesday, the actor discussed his childhood with fellow actor and brother Scott Evans. But it seems the Captain America star's fans couldn't help but direct their attention to his chest tattoos peeking out from underneath his shirt.
On first glance, the tattoos appear to include an eagle on the right side of his chest and a quote from spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle on his left side.
The Tolle quote reads: 'When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world.'
This meaningful quote seemed to resonate with several of his fans, many of whom seem to be surprised the actor even had inkings.
'Show us ur tats bae @ChrisEvans, [sic]' one fan wrote, while another added, 'Why am i just now finding out that chris evans has chest tattoos?????? [sic]'
One user even went as far as to describe the viewing as 'heavenly'.
It's safe to say that Evans' tattoo reveal is not one that will be forgotten easily by fans.
Over the years, we've have come to learn the actor has several tattoos, which include a Taurus zodiac symbol on his left shoulder, the word 'loyalty' on his right, the Avengers cast tattoo and his dog's name 'Dodger' on his chest, his siblings' initials 'SCS' on his right ankle, and an inscription paying tribute to his late friend across his ribs.
In 2014, the actor told The Hot Hits: 'I really like tattoos, but the problem is when you wear a shirtsleeve shirt in a movie. That’s an extra hour in the makeup chair. It’s not worth it.
'I’m all for tattoos, but just somewhere they can be hidden.'
Whether we'll get to see more of the actor's inkings soon remains to be seen but fans will be happy to know that it was recently announced that the actor will soon star in a Netflix film opposite Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, Ryan Gosling and Ana De Armas.
The film, titled The Gray Man, is being described as 'the biggest-budget feature film in Netflix's history', and is a spy thriller adapted from Mark Greaney's 2009 novel.
